Child drowns in Orange County pool, deputies say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A child drowned in an Orange County pool Tuesday afternoon, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies just after 3 p.m. responded to the 12400 block of Appomatox Drive in reference to a child drowning. When they arrived, a child was found unresponsive in the pool, deputies said.

The child was transported to the hospital via the fire department where they were pronounced dead, deputies said.
