Universal Parks & Resorts’ latest ride patent may indicate a future ride headed to Epic Universe theme park in Orlando.

The patent, dubbed “Dark Ride Tower Systems Having Stationary and Adaptable Rooms,” describes a tower-like ride system with two levels: The first level is a stationary room and the second can change in configurations.
“It is now recognized that the ability to simulate more complex viewing experiences in a relatively compact space may further enhance guest experiences,” said patent documents.
