BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A group of UK travelers landed at the Melbourne-Orlando International Airport on Monday.

That chartered flights are the first of the season. And very soon, many of those same travelers will be able to board a direct flight from the UK to Brevard County, where they’ll board the latest ship to arrive at Port Canaveral.

The chartered flights are expected to bring in 250,000 passengers to Central Florida.
Channel 9 was there when Tui Airways’ first chartered flight of the season touched down on the runway.
Between now and early December, the airport expects to see some 250,000 international travelers.
Many passengers will spend time at Central Florida theme parks and other amenities. But beginning in May, Tui will offer another option for passengers chartering flights out of the UK: a cruise option out of Port Canaveral.
Once Marella cruises begin its season operations at Port Canaveral, there will six different cruise lines operating at the port.
Melbourne-Orlando International Airport recently completed a $72 million terminal expansion and renovation project that’s helped accommodate the traditional passenger traffic.
