Abnormally hot and dry across Central Florida, rain returns next week

ORLANDO, Fla. — Saturday will be another hot day in Central Florida.

5 p.m. Update:

Saturday is abnormally hot and dry for this time of year. The trend continues through the rest of the weekend.

Any rainfall is going to be very spotty. Most areas will continue to dry out while an isolated location or two may see a quick shower early Saturday evening or Sunday, late in the day.

Tropical moisture builds back and by Tuesday and Wednesday of next week and we will have a more typical pattern with scattered afternoon storms.

Tropics are expected to stay quiet across the Gulf, Caribbean and Atlantic into early August.

Saturday will see mostly sunny and dry skies.

The drier than normal skies will last until Monday.
