Central Florida Supervisor of Elections announces 4 college scholarships

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Supervisors of Elections Association announced four $1,200 scholarships, according to Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Chris Anderson.

The scholarships will be awarded to college students for the 2023 school year.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

· Be a registered Florida voter

· Live in Florida for at least two years

· Must be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in a senior college or university in Florida

· Have at least a “C” average or above for the previous year

· Must be either a Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Journalism/Mass Communications major

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is March 10, 2023.

According to a news release, applications must be submitted to the elections office of the county in which the applicant is registered to vote. Each county will select one finalist to send to the FSE Scholarship Committee for consideration.
