Central Florida reacts to the overturning of Roe v. Wade

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Supreme Court ruled on Friday to overturn Roe v. Wade and the fundamental right to abortion.

It’s a law that’s been in place for nearly five decades.

The court ruled 6-3, in an opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito, who called Roe “egregiously wrong.”

The ruling now allows states to ban abortions.

Lawmakers in Central Florida on both sides of the political aisle wasted no time in voicing their opinions to the ruling.
