Central Florida homeowners oppose ramp that might go through some backyards

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Angry Seminole County residents are disapproving of a proposed connector ramp from Route 417 to Orlando-Sanford International Airport.

As a two-year feasibility study wraps up, many residents feel their lives might be uprooted forever. The exact location is near East Lake Mary Boulevard,, where many purchased their homes in the brand-new neighborhood in 2021.

The Central Florida Expressway is exploring five options when it comes to the proposal. However, four of those options would run right through Kensington Preserve.

According to Central Florida Expressway, they are still in the middle of the study. A public meeting will be held on June 29 where they will take feedback from the public.
