Central Florida gets a break from the extreme heat

ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida will get a break from the extreme heat on Saturday as temperatures drop and return to seasonal levels.

High temperatures will reach the upper 80s and low 90s. The heat index value will be in the mid-90s.

Scattered showers and storms will be possible Saturday afternoon.

There will be a 60% chance of showers and storms.

We are monitoring two areas in the tropics, neither of which look to be impactful for Central Florida, regardless of development.
