ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida law enforcement officials caution residents to be aware of hate crimes in the area.

Volusia County deputies will provide extra patrols at places of worship this weekend.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said that in light of recent anti-Jewish hate speech incidents, additional deputies would monitor potential acts of hate.

Deputies will be conducting extra patrols to protect all those targeted for acts of hate, bigotry and intimidation.

Orange County Sheriff John Mina released a statement about the recent antisemitic crimes and said the sheriff’s office would provide resources to Jewish institutions in Orange County this weekend.
