MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Drivers in Marion County say a hidden shooter has been using moving cars for target practice.

Drivers heading down Southeast 36th Avenue in Ocala all of a sudden have become the target of gunfire.

No one has been injured.

Eyewitness News talked to Jeremy Haskell on Friday. He has several bullet holes in his headlight from March when he said he was driving near the intersection of Southeast 36

th

Avenue and 17

th

“As I was driving, it sounded like a gunshot,” Haskell said.

Haskell never saw the shooter.

“If I was any lower to the ground, or driving three miles an hour faster, that would have come through the windshield as opposed to the headlights,” Haskell said.

Ocala police told Channel 9’s Kimberly Eiten that last Sunday another driver was shot at less than a mile down the road, near 36th Avenue and Maricamp Road.

%“Why would you take the risk of possibly ending somebody's life?” Haskell said.
