ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — One person has been caught and the search continues for the man who stole a car near Hunter’s Creek, deputies said.

The carjacking was reported at 8:50 a.m.Tuesday in the area of 2751 Emerald Island Boulevard in Kissimmee, deputies said.

Deputies said a man approached a woman with a baby and another passenger in a car and asked to use her phone after he got into a car accident. She refused, so the man pulled out a gun and repeatedly told her to get out of the car, deputies said. The woman complied and everyone got out safely.

The woman told deputies that a man and a woman got into the car and took off.

The stolen car was found in The Village at Hunters Creek Shopping Center at South John Young Parkway and Towne Loop in Orange County, but the people inside escaped, deputies said.

The woman, Amber Dangerfield, 21, was captured nearby, but the other man remains on the loose, deputies said.
