VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A crash at a Volusia County convenience store ended with a car on fire.
11 a.m. update:
Florida Highway Patrol said the crash involved a Dodge Challenger that struck a gas pump.
Troopers said the impact caused the car to catch fire.

The driver, 56, of Port Orange, was transported to HCA Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford.
FHP said the driver suffered critical injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.

The crash happened Monday shortly after 11 p.m. at Mas Food Mart on East New York Avenue in DeLand.
Channel 9 was at the scene shortly after the crash and saw the burned car along with some damage to the business.

Volusia County deputies said the Florida Highway Patrol is handling the crash investigation.
