Canceled Area15 Orlando site gets new plans with hotel, more

The site for a canceled attraction is potentially getting new life.

A pre-application request filed with Orange County for a project called “Kingsland Grande PD/Vineland Galleria” seeks approval for commercial space and a “possible hotel” on the land once designated for Area15 Orlando, a planned immersive entertainment complex that was officially canceled in 2024.

The request was filed by engineer Jeffrey Swisher of Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc. on behalf of landowners Area15 Orlando LLC, an entity tied to the Area15 company which runs the original attraction in Las Vegas.
