‘Burglar Boxes’ set up around Central Florida to help avoid post-holiday break-ins

ORLANDO, Fla. — Local law enforcement agencies want local residents to be smart about throwing away their holiday trash.

Many of them have set up so-called “Burglar Boxes” across our area.

Officials say putting your boxes on the curb can let thieves know what’s inside your home, so they recommend you drop them off at safe locations instead.

Here are some of the locations to find “Burglar Boxes” around Central Florida:

Orange County:

• OCSO Sector 1 Sub-Station (1111 N. Rock Springs Rd)

• OCSO Sector 3 Sub-Station (475 Story Rd)

• Burlington (1250 N. Alafaya Trail)

• Saint Lukes United Methodist Church (4851 S. Apopka Vineland Rd)
