Brightline to conduct nighttime high-speed train testing in Central Florida

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Brightline trains will hit maximum speeds later Tuesday as the rail system continues testing in Central Florida.

Brightline will test the trains during nighttime hours at speeds up to 125 mph.

The route will run from Orlando International Airport to Cocoa.

Drivers on the 528 may notice the train lights, but there are no public crossings in this area.

The tests should wrap up by 6 a.m. Wednesday.
