BOCA CHICA, Texas — A SpaceX prototype rocket that could one day launch people to Mars crashed and exploded while landing in Texas.
The company launched the Starship SN9 in Boca Chica for a test flight.
Though the rocket went up, it exploded on impact while trying to land.

Nobody was inside the rocket at the time of the impact.
Back in December, another prototype also exploded on impact following what was characterized as a successful launch.
