COCOA BEACH, Fla. — A World War II era aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in the ocean during the Cocoa Beach Air Show on Saturday.
Officials said a TBM Avenger performing in the warbird parade had a mechanical issue and the pilot was able to bring the plane down close to the shore.
Rescue personnel were immediately on scene and the pilot is OK, officials said.
Video shows the plane drifting down over swimmers before splashing into the ocean in front of spectators.
