One person killed in shooting at popular Central Florida sports bar, police say

MELBOURNE, Fla. — An investigation is underway in Melbourne after police said someone shot two people inside a sports bar, killing one of them.

The deadly shooting happened on Sunday at 1:10 a.m. at Off the Traxx on New Haven Avenue.

When officers arrived, they located two victims inside the business.

According to police, the male victim, 34-year-old Alain Noel, was found unconscious. He was transported to the hospital where he was later declared dead.

The female victim, a bar employee, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

At the time of the shooting, Off the Traxx was reported to be near capacity at nearly 350 patrons, police said.
