BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — NASA and SpaceX are now targeting as soon as early October for the launch of the Crew-13 mission, as teams complete prelaunch work, conduct readiness reviews and coordinate operations aboard the International Space Station.
The delay comes after teams detected a leak during Dragon spacecraft processing. SpaceX successfully replaced an oxidizer valve in the capsule’s propulsion system, NASA said.
Crew-13 will launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on Florida’s Space Coast, sending the next crew of astronauts to the International Space Station.
