NASA collects data from mannequins to study impact of solar radiation on future astronauts

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — NASA researchers are continuing to take an in-depth look at two mannequins, who went to space during the Artemis I mission.

NASA is hoping the two mannequins can share some secrets about space travel.

Scientists at Kennedy Space Center have been analyzing data from the mannequins since the return of NASA’s Orion spacecraft from its lunar mission.

They spent 25 days in space, aboard the Orion spacecraft, equipped with radiation detectors.
