BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is releasing details from a shooting that happened Saturday, during the funeral for Sincere Piece. Pierce was killed in a shooting involving Brevard County Deputies this month.
Saturday, during the funeral service at Riverview Memorial Gardens in unincorporated Cocoa, deputies responded to a shooting call. According to the sheriff’s office, initials reports were that a male and female received non-life-threatening injuries from a gun-shot.

The female victim has been identified as 39-year-old Quasheda Pierce, the mother of Sincere Pierce.
The male’s identity, a 16-year-old, is not being released at this time.
According to deputies, the 16-year-old “experienced an accidental discharge from a firearm concealed on his person during the funeral service.”

The bullet struck the male in the leg and exited, striking Quasheda Pierce in her leg.
The 16-year-old juvenile is refusing to cooperate with law enforcement. Once the investigation is complete, the findings will be presented to the State Attorney’s Office.
18-year-old Sincere Pierce and 16-year-old Angelo Crooms were both killed Friday, November 13, in a shooting involving Brevard County deputies as they were following up on an investigation into a potentially stolen car.
That case is still under investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
