CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — SpaceX launched a Global Positioning System satellite for the U.S. Space Force on Thursday afternoon.
A Falcon 9 rocket launched the fifth GPS III satellite from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Launch Complex 40.
The company is reusing a booster that launched the GPS III-4 satellite in November 2020.
This is the fifth GPS III satellite of a series of 10 for the military.

The launched happened at 12:09 p.m.
