CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — UPDATE 11:55 p.m.

SpaceX successfully launched a batch of satellites from the Space Coast late Wednesday evening.

This marks the 25th batch of about 60 satellites launched into orbit to help create a global broadband internet network.

SpaceX is planning to launch a batch of Starlink satellites late Wednesday night.

The company is now targeting 11:44 p.m. Wednesday to to launch its 25th batch of about 60 satellites. The launch was originally planned for 12:05 a.m. on Wednesday. The satellites will help create a global broadband internet network.

The goal of the mission is to provide reliable and affordable internet across the globe.

The network is currently available in parts of North America.

It will be available globally in late 2021 or 2022.

Channel 9 will livestream the launch on its website, on its Facebook page, on your Smart TV and on air.

Later this week, NASA and SpaceX’s Crew-1 is expected to return to earth after spending about five months at the International Space Station.

The crew lifted off from the Space Coast in November.

The crew members are expected splash down off Florida’s west coast on Saturday. The crew was originally scheduled to return to Earth on Wednesday, but their trip was delayed after a review of weather conditions in the splashdown zones.

Now, the crew is set to undock from the space station Friday evening and splash down in the Gulf of Mexico just after 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
