BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — In March 2020, the Disney Dream was the last ship to sail from Port Canaveral before cruising was suspended.
The cruise line was set to sail the first trial voyage from the port on Tuesday. But that voyage has been delayed.

In a statement to Eyewitness News, the Disney Cruise Line said:
“We are delaying our simulation cruise due to a small number of inconsistent COVID-19 test results, which are considered positive by the CDC. The rigorous health and safety protocols we have in place helped us identify the situation, though the test results were ultimately negative.”
It’s not known when the cruise will be rescheduled.

Many are hoping Port Canaveral won’t be far behind.
“We have people who have been out of work for over a year and a half, some of them are on unemployment, some of them have taken on part-time temporary jobs, but as soon as these cruises start coming back they’re coming back, full force,” Kellem said.
