COCOA, Fla. — Police in Cocoa are searching for a driver who left a man for dead after hitting him with their car.

Officers said the deadly crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday on SR-524 near Industry Road, near the businesses in the Cocoa Commons Plaza.
Investigators believe the 25-year-old man was walking home on SR-524 when he was hit by a driver in an unknown vehicle.

The driver of the unknown vehicle should have damage to the front bumper and front grille and was headed east on SR-524 at the time, officers said.
