Central Florida man dies after overturning ATV, troopers say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly ATV crash in Brevard County.

The crash happened Saturday at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Alton Terrace and Piedras Street in Cocoa.

Troopers said a Cocoa man was traveling northbound on Alton Terrace on a Yamaha ATV when, for an unknown reason, he lost control and overturned.

The 52-year-old was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The road was shut down for a couple of hours while troopers investigated.

The road is currently back open.
