TITUSVILLE, Fla. — Two men were arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Titusville man, police said.

Marqwone Lemon, 24, of Sanford, was charged with murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault with a firearm, according to a report.

Police said Devante Hendricks, 28, of Sanford, was charged with violation of felony probation.

Curtis Murray, Jr., 34, was shot in his home along Rock Pit Road around 6:30 p.m. on May 10, according to police.

Officers initially responded to a report of shots fired at a residence and found Murray inside with a gunshot wound.

Investigators said two suspects entered the house in the 500 block of Rock Pit Road and held Murray and a child at gunpoint in an effort to steal their belongings.

Police said they believe Murray, Jr. was shot during a fight with the armed suspects.

Investigators said the child who was also inside the home at the time of the shooting was not hurt.

Detectives believe the victims were targeted and it was not a random act of violence.

Detectives said evidence and information from community members led them to issuing a warrant for the arrests of Lemon and Hendricks.

Both men were located at a house in Orlando and taken into custody.

They were booked into the Orange County Jail on Wednesday.

This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are possible, officers said.
