Brevard County Public Schools will reopen all schools Tuesday after closing them Monday because of concerns over Tropical Storm Eta.
School leaders announced Sunday evening that all schools will be closed on Monday “out of an abundance of caution” around Tropical Storm Eta.

The decision to close the schools came after monitoring the storm for several days and the county being under a tropical storm warning, officials said.
Officials released a statement saying that all schools and district offices will reopen Tuesday.

Eta has already brought strong winds and heavy rain to Brevard County and much of Central Florida.
The storm is churning over the Gulf and the tropical storm warning for Brevard County expired early Monday.
Brevard Ocean Rescue told Eyewitness News that most people have been watching the storm on shore from a safe distance. The county has been closely monitoring beach conditions and said, so far, there are no significant signs of erosion.
