Vaccinations will begin Monday for those who were lucky enough to snag an appointment.

Only those 65 or older or health care workers who provide direct care to patients but who are not associated with a hospital system were able to book appointments.

Appointments that were made online were for drive-thru vaccinations at the agency’s Brevard Health Unit on Judge Fran Jamieson Way in the Viera area.

They will be administered between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., beginning Tuesday.

Afternoon appointments previously made by phone will begin Monday from 1:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Appointments can no longer be made by phone.

Officials said a driver’s license or health care badge is required at the time of appointment.

Those interested in getting vaccinated do not have to be a Brevard County or Florida resident.

Residents are also asked to bring a completed COVID-19 vaccine screening and consent form. A copy of the form can be found here.
