BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A Brevard County nonprofit has led relief missions all over the world.

But now, Joe Hurston with Air Mobile Ministries is focused on Ukraine.

The group is making its way to the war-torn country with nearly a dozen water purifiers. Each system can supply 20 to 25 gallons of clean water each hour.
“I can’t even imagine my home being blown apart and barely escaping with our lives,” Hurston said from Warsaw, Poland. “What these people have gone through is an absolutely heartbreaking. But … it was that little girl in that bomb shelter (who) stood up in that bomb shelter and sang ‘Let it Go’ and I just started crying.”

Hurston and his volunteers have faced danger before in Haiti, South Sudan, Pakistan and elsewhere, but said nothing like what’s happening in Ukraine.
