Brevard County officials were forwarded a copy of the photo Monday night after someone identified “Denzel” as Brevard County firefighter and paramedic Jake Johnson.

A county spokesman told Channel 9 the man in the photo, believed to be Johnson, has been employed by the county since 2005 and is assigned to Station 63. The spokesman said Johnson didn’t post the off-duty photo to any of his social media pages.

His employer is now looking to see if any county processes or procedures were violated, and if any action would need to be taken in relation to what this photo depicts.

Johnson is currently on vacation. Brevard County Firefighters Local 2969 said while the union is monitoring the situation, Johnson is not a dues-paying member.
