BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Brevard County officials announced a new incentive program to report missed waste pickups in the county.

The program is in response to an increased number of complaints concerning missed garbage, recycling and yard waste pickup services.

Under the new program, residents in unincorporated parts of Brevard County could receive an incentive of $14.53 for a phoned complaint and $19.53 for an electronically logged complaint.

Officials said the program is designed to monitor and improve collection services in the county.

The incentive program will run until December 2021 when commissioners will consider whether or not to continue the program.
