COCOA, Fla. — Time is running out for Brevard County residents still in need of Federal Emergency Management Agency assistance from the impacts of Nicole.
The FEMA disaster recovery center at the UF/IFAS Extension Service at 3695 Lake Dr. in Cocoa will permanently close on Sunday, Jan. 22.

The Disaster Recover Center, which has been operating since Dec. 18, provided residents access to representatives from FEMA, the Small Business Administration, and the state to get help with questions about assistance and loans.

FEMA says residents needing help after Jan. 22 can still register for assistance online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.
Registration for Hurricane Nicole assistance will be open through Feb. 13.
