SR 408 reopens after crash kills 2 people

ORLANDO, Fla. — Two people were killed in a multi vehicle crash that shut down State Road 408 in Orlando for several hours.

The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. at the Semoran Boulevard toll plaza.

Orlando police said two pedestrians were struck and killed.

Police didn’t say what the people were doing on SR 408, who the people are or how the accident happened.

While Orlando police investigated the crash, our cameras captured video of traffic backed up for hours.

Traffic was being redirected at the Conway exit.

The crash has since been cleared.
