BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Severe weather struck parts of Brevard County on Sunday.

7:30 a.m. Monday update:
As daylight arrives, Channel 9′s Q McCray is getting a better look at damage inside the River Grove mobile home park in Micco.
He continues to talk with residents working to clean up the mess left behind by storms.
One man described how quickly conditions changed Sunday evening.
“I’ve been through countless hurricanes; I have never in my life seen anything so fast, so violent, so quick. It was just crazy!”

5:30 a.m. Monday update:
Officials with the National Weather Service are expected to be in Brevard County Monday morning to assess damage from Sunday’s storms that damaged multiple homes in Micco.
NWS issued a tornado warning Sunday evening for that area.

A boater died after a lightning strike in Brevard County, officials said.
According to a county public information officer, Brevard County Fire Rescue responded near the Pineda Causeway and U.S. Highway 1 for the incident.
Officials said that high winds also blew a roof off a mobile home in the River Grove mobile home park in Micco and the American Red Cross is helping that family.
They said the estimate is that 30 to 35 homes were affected by the severe weather.
Brevard County EM reporting that 30-35 homes have been damaged after storms rolled through the Barefoot Bay area. Tornado warning was issued as this storm passed the area.
