BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Blue Origin has announced a new launch date for its New Glenn rocket.

Channel 9 was on the Space Coast early Monday morning when officials decided to “stand down” on the planned launch.
Blue Origin said the scrub was called because of ice forming on a power unit.

Now, the company will try again early Thursday to get the New Glenn Mission underway.
Liftoff for the Jan. 16 launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is set for 1 a.m.

We’re moving our NG-1 launch to no earlier than Thursday, January 16. The three-hour launch window opens at 1 a.m. EST (0600 UTC).
