Bird Flu cases emerging in Central Florida, officials report

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Wildlife Hospital has received positive cases of avian influenza, also known as Bird Flu, in Brevard County.

WATCH CHANNEL 9 EYEWITNESS NEWS

FWH officials have said that the number at this time is at least 6 cases have been documented at this time.

The FWH says taking extra steps such as disinfecting your shoes, properly cleaning your bird feeders, and protecting your pets can help stop the spread of avian influenza.
