Avelo Airlines announces 2 new nonstop routes from Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — If your travels sometimes take you from Central Florida to southwestern Alabama or upstate South Carolina, fasten your seat belts and listen up.

Avelo Airlines has announced it will begin nonstop service from Orlando to Mobile and Greenville-Spartanburg.

On Wednesday, May 31, the discount airline will take its initial flight from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Mobile International Airport (BFM).

Avela then plans to offer regular service to BFM twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays.

Introductory one-way fares will start at $29.

Avelo will begin nonstop service from Orlando to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) on June 7 with flights also departing MCO two times per week.

Initial fares will start as low as $49 for one-way travel, the airline said.

Avelo bills itself as an airline that offers “convenient, affordable and reliable air travel.”

The airline touted that its two newest routes will bring the total number of cities from MCO to thirteen.
