ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police said they are searching for a man who walked into a bank with a gun and robbed it in the middle of the day.
The robbery happened at the TD Mercantile Bank on South Kirkman Road at about 12:30 p.m., while customers were inside.
Surveillance pictures show the man wearing a baseball cap, glasses and pointing a gun at the teller.
According to investigators, a man walked into the bank, displayed a gun to the teller and then ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Investigators searched a nearby apartment complex.
“It's like, real terrifying to know that they probably ran through our complex or probably hiding out in there,” resident Alma Olivieri said.
Customers who found out about the robbery said they were shaken up.
“I'm like, ‘Oh my God, imagine if I was in there?’ Very scary,” said a customer who did not want to be identified.
Investigators said they believe the culprit also robbed Congo River Golf last month.
