JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Officials said Thursday afternoon that the mother of a missing 5-year-old Jacksonville girl has stopped cooperating with investigators.

Detectives said Brianna S. Williams has stopped talking to them about the disappearance of Taylor Rose Williams, for whom an Amber Alert was issued Wednesday.

Deputies said Williams is not considered a person of interest.

Williams said she put Taylor to bed around midnight at their Ivy Street home in Jacksonville's Brentwood area, investigators said.

They said she told them that when she woke up at about 7 a.m., she did not see Taylor and the back door was open.

Investigators said they have been searching the area around the home and the Paradise Island apartments on Southside Boulevard, from where Taylor and her family moved over the weekend. The locations are 16 miles apart.

Williams is a petty officer at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, officials said.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office's dive team was called to the apartment complex to search a retention pond, and a dumpster was seen taken from the complex.

Officials said more than 100 police officers, firefighters, search dogs, dive teams, mounted police, drones and volunteers are assisting in the search.

Taylor was last seen wearing a purple shirt and pink pajama pants. She is 3 feet tall and weighs 50 pounds.

Anyone who has seen Williams or Taylor in the last six months is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500.

First Coast Crime Stoppers has issued a reward of up to $4,000 for anyone who has information on Williams' whereabouts.
