TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Agriculture and consumer services commissioner Nikki Fried is calling for an investigation into the high gas prices in the state.

In her letter, Fried asks Attorney General Ashley Moody to investigate the high gas prices under the Florida Antitrust Act.

Fried said since September her Division of Consumer Services has received 80 consumer complaints about high gas prices as company profits soar.
“I hope our Attorney General will take action to help us protect Florida consumers at the gas pump,” Fried tweeted.
