ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida will remain soggy Thursday, but changes are ahead.

Our afternoon rain and storm chances will be lower Thursday and will be around 60%.
The high temperature in Orlando should reach around 82 degrees in the afternoon.

Friday’s rain chances will be even lower, around 50%.
Our forecast will be much drier during the weekend and into next week.

Highs will be in the upper 80s on Saturday and Sunday with rain chances only around 20% to 30%.
Channel 9 meteorologists are monitoring an area stretching from northeast Florida to the Carolinas that could develop into a tropical disturbance.
Thankfully, there are no tropical threats to Florida.
