ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida will continue to see an afternoon storm pattern through the weekend.

Our area will be cloudy and mild overall, with a 50% chance of scattered storms.
The timing of the storms will be a bit different Friday.
A batch of showers and storms are moving through the Gulf of Mexico Friday morning and headed our direction.
TIMELINE: Thunderstorms trigger tornado warnings in Volusia, Seminole and Brevard counties Thursday
This will help move scattered showers and storms through our area mid-morning through mid-afternoon.
Thankfully, the earlier start to the storms will help limit our threat of severe weather.
Some severe storms will be possible along our east coast as they’ll have just a bit more time to heat up before the rain reaches them.

A strong front will move through this weekend and continue our severe weather threat on Sunday.
