TAMPA, Fla. — Adventure Island Water Park will debut a new splash and play zone when it opens for the 2023 season.
Shaka-Laka Shores, which opens March 4, is a new splash and play zone with 25 individual elements and a kid-friendly play area designed for younger guests.

The newest addition features two dozen playful elements, interactive aquatic components, and additional shaded areas, making it ideal for kids.
Busch Gardens park president Neal Thurman said Shaka-Laka Shores’ vibrant and interactive elements gives kids a playful space to splash and explore.

“Shaka-Laka Shores will bundle the elements of excitement and interactivity to serve as another great option for families experiencing Adventure Island,” Thurman said.
Shaka-Laka Shores and recently opened attractions, Rapids Racer and Wahoo Remix, are part of the waterpark’s most significant expansion in decades.
