A new eight-story patient tower on the Celebration Campus will include 80 in-patient beds and three operating rooms as well as additional shell space to prepare for future growth.
“That will allow us to expand our emergency department in the future, additional operating and procedural areas, and then hopefully additional inpatient beds as well,” AdventHealth Celebration CEO Amanda Maggard said.

Maggard added that Osceola County is growing at three times the rate of the state of Florida.
So, in addition to population growth, Maggard said the expansion is necessary to also keep up with the services the hospital offers.
“We opened cardiovascular surgery 5 years ago, we’re a comprehensive stroke program, we have advanced neurosurgery here,” Maggard said. “We need additional space to care for those patients.”
With its central location, the Celebration Campus will be able to care for more residents and people who are here on vacation.

“When they need care, they want to be able to stay close to home,” Maggard said. “Unfortunately, tourists do get sick at times, so we also want to meet the need of those additional patients that end up needing care here in Central Florida.”
The new tower and a parking garage are estimated to cost around $340 million.
The tower is slated to open in late 2027.
