AAA: Florida gas prices down nearly 15 cents as prices continue to fall

ORLANDO, Fla. — The price of a gallon of gas in Florida continues to drop for the fifth week in a row.

According to AAA, the average price of gasoline in Florida is $4.27 per gallon, down from $4.42 a week ago.

Mark Jenkins with AAA says after seeing record gas prices at the beginning of summer, drivers could see prices continue to fall.

“Oil prices suffered significant drops last week, clearing the way for additional discounts at the pump,” Jenkins said.

Last week, the U.S. price of oil dropped nearly $8 a barrel, to $97.59.
