ORLANDO, Fla. — He’s back, Central Florida!

Brian Shields will return to Channel 9 Eyewitness News This Morning, beginning Monday.

Here are nine things to know about Brian:

1. Brian gave his first weather forecast using a chalkboard when he was just five years old.

2. He has a wife and three sons.

3. Brian has written a children’s books called “Pug on the Run.” It’s inspired by his very own pup.

4. He graduated from Pennsylvania’s Villanova University with a degree in geography.

5. While there, he and his professor published two studies about hurricanes.

6. He then obtained a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University.
