A planned development may lead to 800 apartments rising just north of Orlando International Airport and south of Airport Lakes Park.

Plans have been filed with the city of Orlando for a master plan for a project titled Orlando Gateway Apartments, located along the west side of Shadowridge Drive, near Semoran Boulevard’s interchange with State Road 528.
A project description outlines a four-building project that spans two phases and 1,436 parking spaces.
Buildings 1 and 2 would be included in Phase 1 and have 197 and 204 units, respectively.

The vacant property shares a portion of the wetlands system in the area.
Site plans note a wetland buffer and conservation easement.
