76-year-old man killed in Osceola County hit-and-run crash, troopers say

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-crash in Osceola County.

The crash happened near the intersection of Simpson Road and Simpson Ridge Circle around 9:30 P.m. Friday night.

Troopers said an unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on Simpson Road south of Simpson Ridge Circle.

Meanwhile, a 76-year-old Kissimmee man was walking in the southbound lane of Simpson Road and was hit by an unknown vehicle.

The victim was thrown onto the grass shoulder and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the unknown vehicle left the scene of the crash.

There were no reported witnesses at the scene, according to troopers.
