ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — A five-acre brush fire in Ormond Beach was affecting traffic Monday afternoon.

The Florida Forest Service said the fire is near Plantation Oaks Boulevard and U.S. 1 is 50% contained.
Plantation Oaks Boulevard was closed in the area so firefighters can more safely battle the blaze.

Smoke is also affecting traffic conditions on Interstate 95 and U.S. 1, so officials are asking drivers to travel slowly through the area.
